The leading artistic vision behind Nous Records, John Franek is a composer and pianist who has had premiers of his work across four continents by ensembles such as the Lontano Ensemble, Moravian Philharmonic and the Janáček Filharmonie. As a pianist, John has given performances and performed premieres across three continents in locations such as London, Philadelphia, New York City, Quito and more.
PAUL FRANEK, Operational Consultant
Paul Franek is a finance professional and internationally competitive a Cappella singer with a unique blend of skills and talents spanning business acumen, musical ingenuity, and intellectual discourse. Throughout the course of his career, Paul has had the distinct pleasure of performing across the United States as well as in countries like Canada and Russia, while simultaneously advancing his business career in financial services and pursuing higher degrees & personal growth in all aspects of life. John's brother provides pro bono business consulting services to Nous.
WHAT WE DO:
We created Nous Records in order to provide living composers and modern music artists with a platform to share their work with the world.
Our mission is to preserve and promote contemporary music while additionally enabling composers to distribute their craft worldwide.
Nous is a double entendre, representing the Greek philosphical idea of "understanding" as well as being the french word for "us". We chose Nous (or Nous chose us) because we feel that only together we may build a community of understanding and knowledge through collecting our multitudes of experience and each of our individual voices.
